Nothing that an individual who has not been born again has ever done or will ever do will get him into the Kingdom of God except receiving Jesus. Nothing that has ever happened or will happen to him except being born again will get him into the Kingdom of God either. Nothing that an individual does and nothing that happens to one who has been born again can ever get him out of the Kingdom of God. John 1:12: But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
As many as receive Jesus believe on His name and as many as believe on His name receive Him. Receiving Him is the first evidence of saving faith. There will be other evidence. Matthew 7:20: Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.Becoming a child of God and becoming born again are two ways to describe the moment of salvation. |
